Since we get a lot of the same questions when it comes to hay, I thought it was about time for a Frequently Asked Questions section just for hay! Still have a question after reading the list? Don’t hesitate to contact us!
“I don’t have a place to store my hay. Can you store it in your barn for me so I can pick it up as I need it?”
Yes, we are happy to store hay for you that has been paid for in advance. Once you pay for your hay, it is yours and will not be sold to another customer. You will just need to set up an appointment time to pick up loads as you need them.
“Can I pickup hay from you throughout the winter and pay as I pick up?”
Our customers are welcome to set up a time to pick up as much or as little hay as needed, however it will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
“Do you deliver?”
Yes! We offer delivery for our customers, for a fee. Our fee is based on your distance from our farm, normally in loads of 200 bales per trip. Feel free to contact me with your address to receive a quote.
“Can you deliver loads of less than 200?”
Yes, we sure can, however the most economical option is to purchase a full load.
“I don’t want to unload the hay or stack it in my barn. Can you do that for me?”
Yes! We offer multiple services to our customers who order loads of hay delivered to their location. Examples of some services are tossing bales off the trailer, carrying to your barn, or stacking in your barn for you. Please note that these services are for a fee and require advance notice so a crew can be hired.
“Do you really reject bales that you aren’t happy with?”
Yes! We absolutely do. We pride ourselves in providing the best possible hay for our animals, AND yours! If it doesn’t meet our specifications (hay that tests with a higher than acceptable moisture content, for example), the hay is rejected – never passed on to our customers as first quality animal food. This is what allows us to stand behind our products and guarantee them. Anyone who has worked on our haying crew knows this first hand and can attest to it.
“What do you mean when you say you guarantee your hay?”
We stand behind our products. We work hard to provide the highest quality product possible at the best price we can offer our customers. If you purchase hay from our farm and stumble across a moldy/dusty bale, we will make it right.
