When The Homstead Survival gave me the chance to share this awesome tutorial with SML readers, I almost jumped for joy (ok, well maybe I did jump… just a little). This my new favorite way to use up all those extra eggs that pile up in our fridge. I can’t wait to bring these little works of art to the next potluck, though they’re almost too cute to consume!
Slice off a bit of the bottom so it with stand upright
Place the egg upright
Slice down on top of the egg about 1/2 inch
Push gently the carved carrot piece into the egg
Add black peppercorns to each side of the egg (eyes)
Repeat all steps for each eggs
Serve on a bed of spinach
After hard boiling eggs and peeling them… put them together took 10 minutes.
